About Isaac

I like tacos.

Hi, I’m Isaac.  I’m a recovering architect.

More than that I’m a dedicated husband and dad.  My favorite thing in the world is spending time with my family and friends.  My second favorite thing is probably traveling and exploring.  That and food.  Cause food is awesome.

My family and I are making massive changes in our life.  For one – I quit my job.  Also, we moved across the country to live with my parents, and I’ve started a new journey into entrepreneurship.  Though more people seem to be making this sort of leap these days, I didn’t personally know anyone who has done it until I went to Thailand last year.

Right now I’m experimenting with drop shipping, so I’ve been writing quite a bit about that.

This blog is here for several reasons.

  • To document the wild ride my family is going on
  • To keep our friends and family, and whoever else wanders in, up to date with said wild ride
  • To give others an idea of what this journey is like, and hopefully give them some inspiration
  • For shits and giggles.  It’s gonna be fun, why not?

I’ll do my best to be brutally honest about my motivations and successes and failures.  Some of what I’m going to write will be controversial and you’ll probably disagree with me, because I’ll be challenging a lot of social norms.  Also, some of what I write might sound very negative and maybe like I’m complaining.  Just know that there are reasons I’m flipping my life upside down, mainly because I didn’t like the direction it was headed, so in order to explain myself I have to write what I didn’t like about it.  In the end though, all my complaints should be seen in a positive light because I’m doing something about them.

I wasn’t satisfied with my old ordinary life.  That’s why I set out to create A New Ordinary.  Yeah, that was lame, I know.

Since this is a personal blog, I’m sure I’ll veer wildly off topic and write about whatever interests me.  That’ll be half the fun.

I hope you’ll enjoy what you read here and that I inspire you to take action in making your own environment a better place, whatever that means to you.

More power to you, Isaac! We will all cheer you on. Life is too short a journey to not enjoy it. Kids grow so fast and you only have today once. 🙂
